On an event by event basis, Bold Coast Runners offers timing and scoring services for events in our region, including:

• Basic hand-timing,

• chip-timing with Radio Frequency Identification

• Basic Start/Finish Line equipment

We can publish live results, printed results, and email participants with their result almost instantaneously after they finish.  Generally we require 1-2 good volunteers to help at the finish line.  Overall results and age group results can be printed immediately for the race organizers for an awards ceremony. Supplies such as Start Flags, Finish Flags, Cones, flagging, chute creation, and PA system available upon request.

Please note our season fills up quickly in the early months of the year and requests should be made well in advance of your event.  

Chip Timing description:

Chip timing entails the use of RFID (Radio Frequency identification) equipment. An RFID chip is attached to participants bib numbers in advance of the event, and when a participant crosses the finish line their time is automatically recorded by an RFID reader and antenna connected to a laptop at the finish line.  That time is then pushed to our results platform.  Results and scoring take place immediately.
